So Sleepy
December 10, 2002 – 4:02 pmI got home last night and Liam was in a foul mood. He was fussy and crying and didn’t want to be comforted. I tried giving him a bottle of formula but sucking on it seemed to hurt him. He would suck a little and then stop and cry. Jen read that when they’re teething, sucking on something can cause them more pain, so we gave him a little Tylenol. Five minutes later he was fast asleep. He slept for a couple of hours. We woke him up to change his diaper and so that Jen could feed him a little. Then she put on his night clothes and put him to bed. He slept another 10 hours at least, with one short time of wakefulness around 6:30 this morning when he woke up long enough to tell us he was hungry and for Jen to feed him. Jen tells me he’s been in a pretty good mood all day. I would be too if I got to sleep 16 out of 24 hours!
I know I promised to post new pictures, and I will. Hopefully I can get that done tonight.

A bit of free advice (worth every penny) from a dad who’s got the t-shirt. Hylands used to make something called Teething Tablets. It was a homeopathic remedy, and we had good success with it. I checked their website, and they don’t list that anymore, but they do have a Teething Gel, so it may be worth a try. (We also used their Colic Tablets, and those were a Godsend.)

Thanks, Roy, I’ll definitely look into that. I have the t-shirt, too, by the way. Just that mine is in the wash ’cause it has spit-up all over it.
