My Amazing Wife

October 15, 2002 – 12:58 pm

I have to admit to you that my wife, Jennifer, does most of the work in raising our son. Oh, sure, I give him a bottle when I get home from work, I change a diaper occasionally, I hold him when he’s crying. I do these things in the evenings and on weekends; Jen does them all day, every day. She’s the one who gets up in the middle of the night when he wakes up – she lets me sleep so I can get up for work in the morning. I am so thankful to her for working so hard, for being such a great mom. I don’t know how she does it, to be perfectly honest. She does all that work, is constantly caring for him, and she still finds time to do household chores, to fix dinner when I get home. I don’t know where she finds the energy. And she’s never in a bad mood, either. Ok, ok, she’s almost never in a bad mood. When she is, you can almost bank on it being my fault – I’m probably a bigger chore than the baby.

I just wanted to make this entry so that she knows, and the world knows, how much I appreciate her.

THANK YOU, JENNA!!

  2. I’m so proud of both of you. Jennifer is a great mom to my little grandson, so patient and loving. She is also patient and loving with my son, like he said. But, you know what, I love how Aaron compliments Jennifer and the love he very outwardly shows toward her. Not to say he can’t be a stinker sometimes, but you can tell by watching him with Jennifer that he truly loves her! That’s the best thing you can give to or do for little Liam, love his mommy!!!
